Committees...
In order to make possible the work of the Lebanon Band Parent
Organization, committees are to be formed and fully implemented at
the beginning of the organization’s 2009 fiscal year.
Each committee will have a chairperson responsible for
preparing a written committee report for presentation and
distribution at the monthly Lebanon Band Parent’s meeting.
This report shall summarize all activities that took place
during the previous reporting period. The committee chairpersons are
also responsible for monitoring and adhering to their designated
budgetary expense limit.
In addition to specific roles required by the activities of
individual committees, chairs of each committee are expected to
guide their committees to develop necessary work plans to accomplish
the items throughout the year for which they are responsible.
The chair will be responsible for the coordination of all
committee efforts and document them in a yearly report to the
Lebanon Band Parents Board. This report is to come to the Board by
the end of the fiscal year.
Composition of a committee
The Committee shall consist of not less than three volunteers. Members will be allowed to join a committee by simply volunteering.
Operation of a committee
A majority of the members of the Committee shall constitute a quorum for doing business. All actions of the Committee shall be taken by a majority vote of the members of the Committee present at a meeting at which a quorum is present or by unanimous written consent. The Committee Chair, who shall be approved of by the Board, is responsible for the leadership of the Committee, including preparation of meeting agendas. The Committee may, at its discretion, delegate such of its authority and responsibilities, as the Committee deems proper to members of the Committee or a subcommittee.
Meetings
The Committee shall meet as often as it deems necessary in order to perform its responsibilities. If necessary, the Committee Chair may call special meetings of the Committee. The Committee shall keep such records of its meetings as it deems appropriate and the Committee Chair shall report regularly to the Board on its activities.
